Nail Art "BlackRoseBloom" 6D by BellaGemaNails

Aren't BellaGemaNails 3D-6D impractical for daily wear?

My 6D Nail Art may be as impractical to you as you squeezing your foot into a 6" stiletto- one size too small for the sake of fashion is to me. As women we don't always tend to be practical in life and with regards to our individual fashion choices. We do things that make us feel brighter, more beautiful and unique.

I create things that I love. If you want to see a plain white french, please change blogs. I have nothing for you. Now, if it's something different... keep watching. Try something new, anything-- you may like the way it feels.

Boundless creativity is beauty. Inspiration is the vein of life.

Why not just stop at nail polish? Don't they get in the way?

As a nail artist nothing seems too extreme... it's never Avant-Garde enough for the artistic nail designer. Nothing surprises me in the world of Nail Deco. I would put a functioning carousel and Ferris wheel on someone’s fingernail, if I could. Now, that's just me.

I LOVE nail lacquer on its own as much as the next person but 3D nail art and bling is always a must in my world! So, you snag a stocking or two, even find that you can't tie a shoelace to save your life... wear sandals-- who cares that it is Winter, raining and blistering cold. Where there's a will, there's a BellaGema way! Conquering the world a nail at a time!

The BellaGemaNails Difference...

The art of BellaGemaNails 3D/4D/6D/7D/8D Extreme/Supreme is an elaborate and creative form of nail art expression. BellaGema is a technique I developed using various nail colors, charms, rhinestones, pearls and beads in order to make each fingernail resemble that of a charm from a bracelet.  It wasn't just a 3D kawaii style nail design that I wanted; I felt the need to create a 3D nail that looked like jewelry candy- a bright and delicious feast for the eyes! My designs do not involve the use of acrylic powders... just hand painting, designing and bejeweling.

Many women, including myself are drawn to the sparkle of any jewelry piece, so I have created a design technique that allows you to shine in any light. The tiers of design I create are carefully thought-out, very much like a puzzle. It all starts with nail lacquer, comes together with the charms, and the rest is history!

I get asked daily about my nails. Because, I too, am fully addicted to the jewelry candy of BellaGemaNails. I design for many others for daily wear, photo shoots, videos and red carpet events, the response they get is remarkable. They can't go anywhere that people are not fully intrigued by the detail involved. Designing is a labor of love; one that brings me tremendous joy- nothing like seeing faces light up and eyes widening at first glance.

BellaGemaNails 3D/4D/5D/6D Extreme/Supreme is not for everyone, it's for those that have a passion or appreciation for this unique style of art.

"Rainbow Bright" by BellaGemaNails 4D Nail Art Extreme

The inspiration for this design was the "Rainbow Brite" doll from the 80's. I wanted a rainbow colored theme with eye-popping color, sparkle and pizazz... much like the doll.

It was bright, beautiful, blingy and loads of fun to create. 100% BellaGemaNails 4D Extreme.

"Autumn Couture" 6D Extreme Supreme by BellaGemaNails

This design is part of my 2010 Fall Couture Collection. I was deeply inspired by the rich colors of gold and caramel brown combined. I used turquoise as an accent color to make the design have a pop of color.

Treasure Island Take Two

How do you care for 3D/4D nails?

You care for 3D/4D nails the way you would your own nails. I recommend wearing gloves to complete housework. Avoid being too rough on them. Best Tip: Use your fingertips to do things and not your fingernails. Avoid using a lot of sticky hair products or lotions that may take away from the shine of your rhinestones. If you can't stay away from those gummy products... just wash your hands immediately after handling them to restore shine. Also, never ever try applying clear coat polish to add luster... it doesn't work. My designs stay on very well and could last you up 2 weeks, if you care for them properly.

Do you sculpt, set or manicure nails?

The answer is No. I only color, design and bejewel pre-manicured nails. I work on natural nails. I can also design on acrylic nails.

How long does it take to design a set of nails?

It truly intrigues people to see such detailed work done on fingernails. I always get asked how much time goes into completing a design. Every design I create has a base theme and color scheme. I paint the nails in different colors and shapes in order to get clean lines and set the foundation for the nail jewelry. The nail art alone without the gems can be worn, but why ever would you want to.

It can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on the length of the nail and level of 3D/4D art.
